Dan is a normal guy, by outside appearances only. Dan’s parents were involved in a secret government fertility program that affected Dan from birth. The government agency continues to monitor him in an attempt to stabilize Dan’s health. His family has moved around, and Dan has made few friends until becoming involved with an unlikely duo his senior year in high school. His friends have no idea just how abnormal Dan is, but they are about to find out.

Dan does not want his children to be under a microscope the way he was as a child, yet he wants what is best for their well-being. Meanwhile, Dan is affected by his own serious health concerns. The twins may just have the answers to all their problems.
The three books in the “It’s Okay Now” series, Yeah, Right!, Whatever!, and No Problem!, take the reader through Dan’s life from a high school student to a family man. The books are written to be read in sequence to understand the full picture, and the language and content are suitable for readers from junior high level through adult.
YEAH RIGHT! is the first book of the “It’s Okay Now” series. Dan is a loner…but not necessarily by choice. As a senior new to a high school after bouncing around from place to place to hide his bizarre past, Dan becomes close friends (maybe a little too close?) with Mazie. For the first time, Dan struggles with keeping his secret, but just can’t seem to find a way to tell her that he is really older than he appears to be. Why? It’s all because of a top-secret government experiment gone wrong! Dan has been studied, poked, and prodded by doctors and psychologists throughout his life but he’s on the verge of becoming “normal” for the first time. Dan is multi-talented and wise beyond his years, having been around longer than most seniors. Mazie is artistic, athletic, and biracial. The third member of the unique trio of friends is Bodie, who mostly stays in a small house that he designed and built himself. Mazie is just starting to learn about Dan’s complicated history and uncovers even more when she stumbles on Dan’s journal. A government guardian (Gigi) and a twin sister (Dani) both play major roles throughout Dan’s story. In other words, Dan is just a normal guy – Yeah, Right!
In the second book of the series, WHATEVER!, Dan has moved on. He’s now four years older, a senior in college, and completely out from under the Agency’s watchful eye. His “normal” life includes working toward his degree, being in a new relationship, and maintaining his long-distance friendships with Mazie, Bodie, and twin sister Dani. Dan is cruising along toward graduation and a foreseeable career in psychology until… Dan’s world is rocked by a series of inexplicable premonitions, altering his reality and casting doubts on his physical and mental well-being. Seeking advice from family, friends, professors, and Sarah/“Gigi” (Dan’s former government guardian) only serves to confuse him further. Should he return to the dreaded government care and oversight? All suspicions to this new development point to the government agency whose top-secret program has upended Dan’s entire existence. In addition to the uncertainties surrounding his babies, Dan’s own sudden health scare adds to the concerns. Dan and Mazie are surrounded by supportive family and friends, but no one seems to have the answers that Dan and Mazie are desperately looking for. Still, they are reluctant to return to the Agency that complicated Dan’s previous life. Imminent danger from different directions continues to lurk on their horizon, and the only clear signs seem to be coming from the twins themselves.
